well! Again it feels lonely in here (is there an echo?) or maybe just like a little lull in my blog page.. we can't have that!!!!
so i will write something new. it was great to hear from my aunts and mom... but why did the men in not write?? funny. is it a sewing circle? are the men more shy? i know my dad is anti-computer so i can understand that.. and women are great communicators as a general rule, in my family anyway..
me, i am still searching for a new home... just a room somewhere for 3 months until i come home to california in november. life in rome is picking up as 500,000 romans are re-entering the city after vacation. already i am honked at a good amount and it almost feels like, love...?? like the normal Roman chaos anyway and less iery.
the car i have enjoyed for two years will go to car heaven on thursday. the owner and i decide to give it up because the insurance for 6 months is higher than the value of the car... and gas here is about 7 or 8 euros per gallon (11-12 dollars... now do you feel better paying only 4-5 per gallon?). and the boy i was driving around does not need me anymore.. so i am buying a bike.. and can just spend time with my little Giuliano when i want to. We have become very close friends over the past two years and he is 5 now and completely bi-lingual... my pride and joy in a way.
i kind of feel sad losing the car... although i will save money and lose weight. it has been there for me in the rain and wind and darkness and some nasty traffic. it has serenaded me many a day particularly when i was learning the layout of Rome and quite lost all the tim
